A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH EXTREMELY DANGEROUS LIGHTNING...TORRENTIAL
DOWNPOURS...AND GUSTY WINDS WAS MOVING THROUGH CENTRAL NEW YORK.  THE
THUNDERSTORMS STRETCEHED FROM NORTH CENTRAL CORTLAND COUNTY...SOUTHWEST
ACROOSS THE CITIES OF CORTLAND...ITHACA...AND WATKINS GLEN...TO EXTREME
SOUTHWESTERN STEUBEN COUNTY.

THESE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE A HISTORY OF PRODUCE EXTREMELY HEAVY RAIN IN A
SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME.  CORTLAND COUNTY SKYWARN REPORTED NEARLY 1 INCH OF
RAIN IN THE STORM.  ONE HALF INCH FELL IN BATH DURING THE LAST HOUR.

AS THESE STORMS MOVE EAST AT 45 MPH...THEY MAY PRODUCE FLOODING OF LOW
LYING AREAS.  ALSO...LIGHTNING STIKES MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO TREES AND POWER
LINES.

THE LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS SHOULD MOVE INTO NORTHWESTERN CHEMUNG...SOUTHERN
TOMPKINS AND CORTLAND...AND NORTHWESTERN CHENANGO COUNTIES BEFORE 1130 AM.

THESE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE A HISTORY OF NUMEROUS LIGHTNING STRIKES CAUSING
DAMAGE TO TREES AND POWER LINES...AS WELL AS TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS.

TO BE OVER THE TRIPLE CITIES...OWEGO...AND BAINBRIDGE BEFORE 1230 PM.

THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS STILL IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF
NORTHERN PENNSYLVANIA UNTIL 200 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON.  IN
NORTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA...THE WATCH INCLUDES SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY.

THE THREAT OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS
WILL EXIST UNTIL 200 PM EDT IN SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY.

AT 1155 AM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED THAT VERY
INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS WERE OCCURRING OVER TIOGA AND BRADFORD COUNTIES OF
NORTH CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA.  THIS ACTIVITY WAS MOVING EAST AT 40 TO 45 MPH.
THESE STORMS SHOULD BE MOVING INTO PARTS OF NORTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA...
INCLUDING SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY...DURING THE NEXT 1 TO 2 HOURS.  THESE
THUNDERSTORMS MAY CONTAIN HAIL...HIGH WINDS...AND HEAVY RAIN.

IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES YOUR AREA..b.SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.
MOTORISTS SHOULD USE CAUTION AS ANY HEAVY RAIN COULD CAUSE LOCAL FLOODING
