DETECTING A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ON THE CHILRESS-HALL COUNTY LINE
WEST OF THE CITY OF CHILDRESS.
 
MOVEMENT WAS EAST NORTHEAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR.

...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE SOUTHEAST TEXAS PANHANDLE AND NORTH-
EAST NEW MEXICO...

AT 1134 AM CDT...AMARILLO RADAR INDICATED SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS..
SOME WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL..OCCURRING IN DONLEY..COLLINGSWORTH..
AND HALL COUNTIES OF THE TEXAS PANHANDLE.  OTHER STRONG THUNDERSTORMS
WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN WERE IN QUAY COUNTY OF NEW MEXICO.

OTHER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE IN WESTERN OKLAHOMA..THE OKLAHOMA
PANHANDLE..SOUTHWEST KANSAS..AND MOST OF THE TEXAS PANHANDLE.

MOVEMENT WAS NORTHEAST AT 35 MILES AN HOUR.

PEA SIZED HAS BEEN REPORTED AT PASAMONTE IN SOUTHWEST UNION COUNTY
OF NEW MEXICO BY THE WEATHER OBSERVER.

PERSONS IN THE PATH OF THESE STRONG THUNDERSTORMS SHOULD EXPECT
HEAVY RAIN..SMALL HAIL..AND STRONG GUSTY WIND.  THERE IS ALSO THE
POSSIBILITY OF LOW` LAND FLOODING.  THEREFORE..MOTORISTS SHOULD
TAKE CARE AND NOT DRIVE INTO WATER CROSSINGS IF THE DEPTH IS NOT
KNOWN.
