000 TTAA00 KALB 232117 SVRALB NYC033-232145- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ALBANY NY 517 PM EDT SAT JUN 23 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBANY NY HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 545 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...... IN NORTH NEW YORK ...FRANKLIN COUNTY NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR DETECTED A SEVERE STORM IN FRANKLIN COUNTY NEAR...CONSTABLE. THIS STORM WILL MOVE INTO QUEBEC BY 545 PM. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOMEI OR BUSINESS. HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.

NYZ013-010-020-019-012-018-VTZ004-MAZ006-231640- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ALBANY NY 1134 AM EDT SAT JUN 23 1990 HEAVY DOWNPOURS WERE OVER PARTS OF EASTERN NEW YORK AND SOUTHERN VERMONT LATE THIS MORNING. SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS WERE FROM RUTLAND COUNTY IN THE SOUTHERN HALF OF VERMONT TO DUTCHESS COUNTY IN THE LOWER HUDSON VALLEY OF NEW YORK. MORE SHOWERS WERE WEST THROUGH THE SOUTHERN ADIRONDACKS AND SOUTH TO THE CATSKILLS. ALL OF THE PRECIPITATION WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT ABOUT 35 MPH. AT 1134 AM THE THUNDERSTORMS WITH THE HEAVISET RAIN WERE FROM CHURCHTOWN TO CANAAN IN COLUMBIA COUNTY AND FROM ABOUT NASSAU TO GRAFTON IN RENSSELAER COUNTY. MORE HEAVY RAIN WAS FROM MANCHESTER IN BENNINGTON COUNTY TO JUST WEST OF BENNINGTON VERMONT. IF YOU LIVE IN EXTREME EASTERN RENSSELAER COUNTY FROM ABOUT HOOSICK FALLS TO BERLIN OR NEAR THE BERKSHIRE-COLUMBIA COUNTY LINE... BE PREPARED FOR SOME VERY HEAVY RAIN. YOU CAN EXPECT SOME ROADWAYS TO COLLECT WATER RAPIDLY AND DRIVING WILL BE TOUGH. THE VISIBILITY WILL DROP TO NEAR ZERO IN A MATTER OF MINUTES.
