THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 115 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTY
IN THE NORTH CENTRAL PART OF SOUTH DAKOTA
WALWORTH
THIS WARNING INCLUDES THE ADJACENT WATERS OF THE MISSOURI RIVER.
SOME OF THE CITIES INCLUDED IN THIS WARNING ARE MOBRIDGE...GLENHAM
...SELBY...AKASKA.
AT 1245 AM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 5 MILES SOUTH
WEST OF MOBRIDGE MOVING EAST AT 55 MPH.
AT 1220 AM CDT THIS STORM PRODUCED GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL AS IT
PASSED TIMBER LAKE.
IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM..YOU SHOULD GET TO A REINFORCED
SHELTER. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCES DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF
60 MPH..HAIL 3/4 INCH OR LARGER..DEADLY LIGHTNING..AND HEAVY RAIN
THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD A LOW LYING AREA.
