THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 800 AM MST FOR PEOPLE...

   IN THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF ARIZONA...

   SANTA CRUZ...PIMA...AND WESTERN COCHISE COUNTIES

WEATHER RADAR AND SATELLITE PHOTOS CONTINUED TO SHOW NUMEROUS SHOWERS
AND SOME THUNDERSTORMS IN THE WARNED COUNTIES. RAINFALL HAS BEEN
EXCESSIVE...WITH NEARLY 2 INCHES FALLING AT SIERRA VISTA SINCE ABOUT
MIDNIGHT...WITH A STORM TOTAL OF 3 INCHES. OTHER REPORTS INDICATED
RAINFALL AMOUNTS APPROACHING AN INCH OR SO.

ALSO...SIGNIFICANT RUNOFF IS TAKING PLACE...WITH MANY WASHES...
CREEKS...STREAMS...AND RIVERS RUNNING. THE SANTA CRUZ RIVER WAS
RUNNING BANKFULL THROUGH SANTA CRUZ COUNTY.

THE WARNED COUNTIES ALSO CONTINUE UNDER A FLASH FLOOD WATCH...
THAT WILL BE IN EFFECT UNTIL 5PM MST LATE THIS AFTERNOON.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE OVER ROADS COVERED BY FLOOD WATERS OR
CROSS FLOODED HIGHWAY DIPS. IF WATER BEGINS TO RISE IN YOUR AREA...
