NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SALT LAKE CITY UT

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  715 PM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...

IN EAST CENTRAL UTAH
          ...SOUTH CENTRAL CARBON

THE UTAH HIGHWAY PATROL REPORTS FLOODING 3 TO 4 FEET DEEP IN THE
WELLINGTON AREA ON COAL CREEK. THIS FLOODING IS THE RESULT OF A
THUNDERSTORM WHICH HAS NOW DISSIPATED. THE FLOOD WATERS SHOULD SLOWLY
DROP. ONCE THE STORM SURGE REACHES THE PRICE RIVER IT SHOULD BE
CONTAINED IN THE RIVER BANKS. HOWEVER ANYONE DOWNSTREAM ON THE PRICE
RIVER FOR RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES SHOULD EXPECT A RAPID RISE IN THE
RIVER.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
