FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1030 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING PARISHES...
 
IN NORTHEAST LOUISIANA
          ...MOREHOUSE...OUACHITA...RICHLAND
 
AT 615 AM CDT THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN SHREVEPORT
SHOWED THE TRAILING EDGE OF A LARGE AREA OF SHOWERS AND STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS TO EXTEND FROM NEAR CROSSETT ARKANSAS TO MONROE
LOUISIANA TO NEAR GRAYSON LOUISIANA.
 
MOVEMENT OF THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WAS EAST NEAR 50 MPH.
 
HEAVY RAINS OF THREE TO FIVE INCHES HAVE FALLEN OVER THE WARNED
AREA. RUNOFF IS INCOMPLETE AND FLOODING WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP.
 
SOME EVACUATIONS HAVE BEEN REPORTED WITH THREE TO FOUR FEET OF
WATER ON THE US 165 EXIT FROM I-20 IN MONROE.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
