THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A URBAN AND SMALL
STREAM FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 920 AM EST FOR PEOPLE IN
THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE WEST CENTRAL PART OF WEST VIRGINIA
      EASTERN KANAWHA

AT 500 AM  KANAWHA COUNTY OFFICALS REPORTED THAT AN ICE JAM HAD
FORMED AT THE MOUTH OF PAINT CREEK WHERE IT ENTERS THE KANAWHA
RIVER.  AT THE PRESENT TIME FLOODING WAS OCCURING IN ONE HOME...ALSO
A CHURCH...WITH THE CONTINUED BUILD UP OF ICE...THEIR IS THE
POTENTIAL FOR UP 50 PEOPLE THAT MAY HAVE TO BE EVACUATED. RESENT RAINS
ALONG WITH MILDER TEMPERATURES HAVE TRIGGERED THESE CONDITIONS.
PERSONS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD MONITOR CONDITIONS
FREQUENTLY...ESPICALLY WHERE RIVERS...STREAMS AND CREEKS BEND OR
MAKE SHARP TURNS. ANOTHER FAVORIATE SPOT FOR ICE JAUMS TO FORM ARE NEAR
BRIDGES OR WHERE A STREAM OR CREEK ENTERES INTO ANOTHER FROZEN WATERWAY.
