SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RALEIGH/DURHAM, NC 521 PM EDT FRI MAY 5 1989 A TORNADO WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT FOR THE PIEDMONT AND SANDHILLS OF NORTH CAROLINA.
