FOR MUCH OF OKLAHOMA...

OTHERWISE THERE IS A MODERATE RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON
AND TONIGHT OVER MUCH OF OKLAHOMA...TO THE WEST OF A BARTLESVILLE TO
PAGE LINE. THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS TO THE EAST
OF THAT LINE.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE MOVED SOUTHEASTWARD FROM KANSAS INTO PORTIONS
OF NORTHWESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL OKLAHOMA THIS MORNING. THESE STORMS HAVE
PRODUCED HAIL IN THESE AREAS. A MOIST AND UNSTABLE AIRMASS REMAINS IN
PLACE ACROSS OKLAHOMA TODAY WITH DEWPOINTS IN THE 60S ACROSS THE STATE.
IN THE UPPER LEVELS OF THE ATMOSPHDERE A BROAD TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE
REMAINS OVER THE WESTERN UNITED STATES. UPPER LEVEL IMPULSES CONTINUE
TO ROTATE NORTHEASTWARD INTO THE CENTRL U.S. FROM THIS SYSTEM.

AT THE SURFACE...A DIFFUSE WARM FRONT IS LOCATED JUST SOUTH OF THE RED
ROVER OVER NORTH TEXAS. AN OUTFLOW BOUNDARY GENERATED BY THE THUNDERSTORMS
OVER NORTHERN OKLAHOMA EXTENDED FROM AROUND GAGE TO NEAR PONCA CITY.

THE BEST THREAT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE IN NORTHERN SECTIONS AS
THE THUNDERSTORMS CURRENTLY MOVING ACROSS NORTHERN OKLAHOMA MOVE INTO AN
AIRMASS FURTHER DESTABILIZED BY AFTERNOON HEATING. IN ADDITION THUNDERSTORMS
ARE ALSO EXPECTED TO DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON IN THE VICINITY OF THE NORTH TEXAS
WARM F?RONT. THE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE NIGHT AS
AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE OVER ARIZONA  MOVES OVER THE STATE LATER TONIGHT.
