A TORNADO WATCH CONTINUES IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM FOR A PORTION OF
NORTHWEST TEXAS WHICH INCLUDES THE COUNTIES OF HARDEMAN..FOARD..
KNOX AND WILBARGER. AT 2 PM RADAR INDICATED A LARGE AREA OF
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WESTERN THIRD OF OKLAHOMA. ACTIVITY
GENERALLY TO THE WEST OF A LINE FROM WEST OF PONCA CITY..20
EAST OF HOBART..VERNON TEXAS TO WEST OF SNYDER.

A TORNADO WAS REPORTED JUST WEST OF MANGUM IN SOUTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA
BETWEEM 115 AMD 130 PM. LARGE HAIL HAS ALSO BEEN REPORTED WITH THE
THUNDERSTORMS IN WESTERN OKLAHOMA.

A FEW SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE BEGINNING TO DEVELOP OVER
NORTHWEST TEXAS. DUE TO THE VERY MOIST AND UNSTABLE AIR TODAY ALL
THUNDERSTORMS HAVE THE CAPABILITY OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL..HEAVY
RAIN..STRONG WINDS AND POSSIBLE TORNADOES.

                          AND TWO MILES NORTH OF MANGUM. A BARN WAS
                          DESTROYED 72 MILES EAST AND 1/2 MILE NORTH OF

MONTAGUE...YOUNG...BAYLOR...CLAY...JACK...FOARD...WILBARGER...KNOX...
AND WICHITA COUNTIES.

A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR TORNADOES AND
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA.

AT 330 PM RADAR SHOWS THUNDERSTORMS FROM NEAR CHILDRESS TO WEMST OF
BENJAMIN. OTHER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE IN SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA
AND EAST AND SOUTH OF BOWIE. MOVEMENT WAS NORTH AT 25 MPH.

TORNADO WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM...

AT 425 PM THE WICHITA FALLS RADAR SHOWED VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS
BEGINNING TO DEVELOP OVER WESTERN PORTIONS OF HARDEMAN...FOARD AND
KNOX COUNTIES.

THE STRONGEST STORMS IN THIS AREA WERE LOCATED 8 MILES WEST SOUTHWEST
OF CROWELL AND 10 MILES WEST OF BENJAMIN.

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED TO THE WEST OF THESE STORMS IN NORTHERN
KING COUNTY.

ALL THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH.
RESIDENTS ACROSS THIS PORTION OF NORTH TEXAS SHOULD BE AWARE OF
THIS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS WEATHER SITUATION AND BE READY TO TAKE
QUICK ACTION SHOULD A WARNING BE ISSUED OR IF SEVERE WEATHER IS
SIGHTED.
