GILES COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS HIGHWAY 31 CLOSED FOR 2 TO 3 MILES
DUE TO RISING WATER. NUMEROUS BACKROADS ARE WASHING AWAY AS WELL.
 
RADAR AND SATELLITE CONTINUE TO SHOW A LARGE AREA OF RAIN...SOME
HEAVY...ACROSS NORTHERN ALABAMA AND MIDDLE TENNESSEE.  ANOTHER
INCH OR MORE OF RAIN COULD FALL IN SOUTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE
IN THE NEXT FEW HOURS.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR] VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
