WEATHER SERVICE RADAR CONTINUED TO SHOW HEAVY RAIN FALLING OVER NORTH
CENTRAL MIDDLE TENNESSEE.
 
NASHVILLE METROPOLITAN POLICE REPORTED THE WEST BOUND LANE OF I24
AT MURFREESBORO ROAD CLOSED BECAUSE OF WATER OVER THE ROADWAY.
 
THE SPRINGFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTED FLASH FLOODING IN THE
CITY OF SPRINGFIELD AT 230 AM CDT.
 
THE HEAVY RAIN WILL CONTINUE IN THE WARNED AREA UNTIL AROUND DAYBREAK.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
