WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 215 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTIES
IN THE WEST CENTRAL PART OF WISCONSIN
POLK...BARRON
AT 105 PM CDT...RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR LITTLE
FALLS IN POLK COUNTY OF WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN OR ABOUT 25 MILES
SOUTH SOUTHEAST OF GRANTSBURG. THIS STORM HAS THE POTENTIAL OF
PRODUCING LARGE HAIL.
THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 15 TO 20 MPH. TOWNS IN THE PATH
OF THIS STORM ARE AMERY..TURTLE LAKE AND BARRON.
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...
DESTRUCTIVE HAIL..DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. FOR YOUR
PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR
HOME OR BUSINESS. HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SOo DON`T DRIVE

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT AND RADAR SUMMARY NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MINNEAPOLIS/ST PAUL MN 1245 PM CDT WED JUN 7 1989 AT 1235 PM CDT...THUNDERSTORMS WITH INTENSE RAINSHOWERS AND SMALL HAIL WERE LOCATED FROM CENTER CITY SOUTH THROUGH STILLWATER DOWN TO HASTINGS AND FROM HASTINGS SOUTHWEST THROUGH NORTHFIELD.. LE CENTER AND ST PETER. THESE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE A HISTORY OF PRODUCING PEA TO MARBLE SIZE HAIL STONG BUT BRIEF WIND GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE THROUGH HUDSON AND NEW RICHMOND WISCONSIN AS WELL AS FARIBAULT..OWATONNA AND POSSIBLY WASECA AND NEW ULM MINNESOTA BY 130 PM. MOVEMENT WAS TO THE EAST AT 20 MILES AN HOUR. CARLYON
