SANTA ROSA COUNTY...630 AM TREES WERE BLOWN ACROSS POWER LINES IN THE GULF BREEZE AREA. (GULF POWER) 1000 AM TREES KNOCKED DOWN POWER LINES IN THE PACE AREA. (GULF POWER) 1048 AM POSSIBLE TORNADO DAMAGED 7 MOBILE HOMES IN NAVARRE. TREES WERE ALSO KNOCKED DOWN. NO INJURIES. 1135 AM TREES KNOCKED DOWN POWER LINES ALONG HWY 87 BETWEEN HWY 98 AND I 10. (GULF POWER) 539 PM POSSIBLE TORNADO DAMAGED A HOUSE AND UPROOTED TREES IN THE PACE AREA. 730 PM TREES WERE BLOWN ACROSS POWER LINES IN THE BERRYDALE AND MUNSON AREAS. (GULF POWER) OKALOOSA COUNTY... 130 PM TREES KNOCKED ACROSS POWER LINES EAST OF NICEVILLE. (GULF POWER) 155 PM TREES KNOCKED DOWN POWER LINES IN THE CRESTVIEW AREA. (GULF POWER) ON JUNE 9...1245 AM TREES KNOCKED DOWN POWER LINES BETWEEN CRESTVIEW AND LAUREL HILL. (CHOCTAWATCHEE ELECTRIC) REPORTS NOT IDENTIFIED WERE FROM CIVIL DEFENSE PERSONNEL. GULF POWER REPORTED SO MANY POWER OUTAGES BY TREES BEING BLOWN ACROSS POWER LINES ON THURSDAY THAT THEY WORKED INTO FRIDAY NIGHT TO GET MOST EVERYONES POWER RESTORED. EXTENSIVE FLOODING TOOK PLACE ACROSS NORTHWEST FLORIDA AS A RESULT OF THE HEAVY RAINS WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT. THE RAINS FORCED MANY RIVERS OUT OF THEIR BANKS. ALMOST EVERY COUNTY HAD SOME WASHOUTS OF SECONDARY AND BACK ROADS. THE SEVERE STORMS CAUSED WASHOUTS ALONG THE NORTHWEST FLORIDA BEACHES FROM GULF SHORES ALABAMA TO DESTIN FLORIDA. WHEN THE SUN RETURNED FRIDAY MANY PEOPLE WENT TO THE BEACH. FROM FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY SIX (6) PEOPLE DROWNED BECAUSE OF STRONG RIP TIDES. ESCAMBIA COUNTY OFFICIALS ESTIMATED DAMAGE FROM THURSDAYS STORMS AT $120,000. OTHER CD DIRECTORS ARE STILL CALCULATING THE DOLLAR LOSS. BECAUSE OF FLOODING IT MAY TAKE WEEKS TO COME UP WITH AN ACCURATE DOLLAR AMOUNT.
