SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOBILE AL 245 PM CST WED MAR 15 1989 ...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE MISSISSIPPI COAST... AT 240 PM CST MOBILE RADAR INDICATED SEVERAL STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WITH INTENSE RAINFALL OVER SOUTHERN HANCOCK COUNTY OF SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI. THE STONGEST STORM WAS LOCATED BETWEEN PEARLINGTON AND LAKESHORE. THE STORMS WERE SLOWLY NORTH ALONG A SEABREEZE FRONT. THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND GUSTY WINDS DURING THE NEXT HOUR ALONG WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF SOME LOCAL STREET FLOODING.
