SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING AND
SPECIAL MARINE WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  600 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...
 
IN SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI
          ...SOUTHERN JACKSON
 
AND ADJOINING COASTAL WATERS BETWEEN OCEAN SPRINGS AND PASCAGOULA
MISSISSIPPI.
 
 
AT 500 PM JACKSON COUNTY MISSISSIPPI CIVIL DEFENSE REPORTED PINE TREES
BLOWN DOWN IN THE BLUFF CREEK AREA.
 
AT 505 PM MOBILE RADAR INDICATED A VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORM FROM
PASCAGOULA MISSISSIPPI TO 10 MILES NORTHEAST OF BILOXI.
 
THIS STORM WAS DRIFTING SLOWLY TO THE SOUTH AND WILL BE IN THE
MISSISSIPPI SOUND BETWEEN OCEAN SPRINGS AND PASCAGOULA BY 520 PM.
BOATERS AND MARINE INTEREST SHOULD TAKE ACTION NOW FOR STRONG WINDS
AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING.
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55
MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
