SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1100 PM MDT
AND A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...
IN SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO

AT 955 PM MDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE
THUNDERSTORM JUST NORTH OF ROSWELL NEW MEXICO. THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS
MOVING SOUTH SOUTHEAST AT ABOUT 15 MPH.
THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN AND NUMEROUS
LIGHTNING STRIKES. WHEN THE STORM MOVED THROUGH FORT SUMNER IT
PRODUCED AN INCH AND A HALF OF RAIN IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME.
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 55
