SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  515 PM EDT

THE WEATHER OBSERVER AT DULLES AIRPORT REPORTS GUSTS TO ABOUT 70 MPH
AT 410 PM. FREQUENT LIGHTNING WAS ALSO OCCURRING. HAIL OF 3/4 INCH IN
DIAMETER WAS REPORTED AT ABOUT THE SAME TIME AT STERLING
VIRGINIA. THE STORMS CONTINUE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 TO 35 MPH AND SHOULTHROUGH THE NORTH PART OF FAIRFAX COUNTY IN THE NEXT 45 MINUTES AND
THEN INTO THE DISTRICT OF COLUMIA.
 
 
IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A
STRONG BUILDING.  DAMAGING kWIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...
AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS.
STAY INSIDE AWAY FROM WINDOWS UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED.
