A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR SOUTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI FROM CARTHAGE TO COLUMBIA AND WEST TO THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER. THUNDERSTORMS ARE RAPIDLY INCREASING ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST MISSISSIPPI AND RESIDENTS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE PREIPARED TO TAKE PROTECTIVE ACTION IF A WARNING.

AT 122 PN RADAR SHOWED A LARGE AREA OF THUNDERSTORNS ALONG AND WEST OF A LINE FROM NEAR WATER VALLEY TO JACKSON TO LUMBERTON. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH. <<

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR SOUTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI FROM CARTHAGE TO COLUMBIA AND WEST TO THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER. AT 130 PM JACKSON RADAR SHOWED SCATTERED VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE SOUTHERN THIRD OF MISSISSIPPI. SOME OF THE STRONGER THUNDERSTORMS WHICH COULD POSSIBLY INTENSIFY TO SEVERE WERE LOCATED 10 MILES SOUTHEAST OF CRYSTAL SPRINGS...JUST SOUTHEAST OF MONTICELLO..AND NORTH OF FAYETTE MISSISSIPPI. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING TO THE NORTH AT 35| MPH.
