SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON MS 210 AM CDT MON JUN 5 1989 ...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR NORTH MISSISSIPPI... ...THUNDERSTORMS REDEVELOPING IN THE DELTA... AT 210 AM SMALL CLUSTERS OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS HAD DEVELOPED ACROSS THE LOWER DELTA OF NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI MAINLY ACROSS SOUTHERN WASHINGTON INTO SOUTHERN SUNFLOWER COUNTIES. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR AND WILL PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAINS ...GUSTY WINDS...FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND POSSIBLY SOME HAIL. THE HEAVY RAINS WILL ALSO PRODUCE STANDING WATER ON ROADWAYS AND IN LOW LYING FLOOD PRONE AREAS FOR THE NEXT HOUR OR SO.
