FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1130 AM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
 
IN CENTRAL INDIANA

HEAVY RAINFALL OF 1 TO 4 INCHES HAS FALLEN SINCE LAST NIGHT OVER WEST
CENTRAL INDIANA. HEAVY RAINFALL HAD MOVED OVER CENTRAL INDIANA AND THE
INDIANAPOLIS METROPOLITAN AREA THIS MORNING. FLOODING WILL AFFECT
UNDERPASSES...DRAINAGE DITCHES...SMALL STREAMS AND FLOOD PRONE AREAS.
 
MOTORISTS SHOULD REDUCE SPEEDS WHEN DRIVING IN HEAVY RAIN. DO NOT
DRIVE THROUGH FLOWING WATER. CHILDREN SHOULD BE KEPT AWAY FROM
FLOODING.
 
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
