THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 830 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE SOUTHEAST PART OF ILLINOIS
      CLAY

AT 620 AM CDT...THUNDERSTORMS WITH TORRENTIAL RAINS WERE MOVING
OVER CLAY COUNTY ILLINOIS...STREET AND LOWLAND FLOODING HAVE BEEN
REPORTED AROUND FLORA ILLINOIS...AND HIGHWAY 50...2 MILES WEST OF
FLORA WAS REPORTED TO HAVE WATER ON THE HIGHWAY.  FLORA IS LOCATED
ABOUT 55 MILES NORTHWEST OF EVANSVILLE.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOU TO CROSS SAFELY PLUS
THE ROADWAY MAY BE WASHED OUT. A VEHICLE CAUGHT IN RISING WATER
SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGH GROUND.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS FLOODING IS IMMINENT. ITS IMPORTANT TO
KNOW WHERE YOU ARE RELATIVE TO STREAMS...RIVERS OR CREEKS WHICH
CAN BECOME KILLERS IN HEAVY RAIN. CAMPERS SHOULD AVOID CAMPING
ALONG STREAMS OR CREEKS DURING THREATENING WEATHER.
