THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN INDIANAPOLIS HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  100 PM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
 
IN NORTH CENTRAL INDIANA

IN NORTHWEST INDIANA
          ...WHITE
 
AT 950 AM EST AN AMATEUR RADIO OPERATOR REPORTED THAT 23/4 INCHES OF
RAIN HAD FALLEN IN MONTICELLO THIS MORNING. WHITE COUNTY SHERIFFS
DEPARTMENT REPORTED WATER ON SOME ROADS IN THE MONTICELLO AND LAKE
SHAFER AREAS. STATE POLICE REPORTED THAT STATE ROAD 218 EAST OF CAMDEN
WAS CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
 
THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN WILL END IN NORTHWEST INDIANA BY AROUND
NOON AND HIGH WATER SHOULD SUBSIDE EARLY THIS AFTERNOON.
