AT 1230 THIS THURSDAY AFTERNOON...THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED IN
SHORT LINES FROM SAMPSON COUNTY THROUGH BLADEN COUNTY AND
COLUMBUS COUNTY INTO EASTERN SOUTH CAROLINA SOUTH OF FLORENCE.
OTHER THUNDERSTORMS WERE CLUSTERED AROUND THE MYRTLE BEACH AND
CRESCENT BEACH AREA IN EASTERN SOUTH CAROLINA.  THE STORMS WERE
CHANGING RAPIDLY AS THEY MOVED EAST ABOUT 35 MILES AN HOUR.

SOME SMALL HAIL HAS BEEN REPORTED WITH THESE STORMS IN BLADEN
AND ROBESON COUNTIES OF INTERIOR SOUTHEAST NORTH CAROLINA
AROUND NOON TODAY.  TABOR CITY ON THE SOUTH CAROLINA BORDER
OF COLUMBUS COUNTY ALSO REPORTED SMALL HAIL AROUND 1230 THIS
AFTERNOON.

PERSONS IN SOUTHEAST NORTH CAROLINA SHOULD BE ALERT FOR SIMILAR
HAZARDS THIS AFTERNOON UNTIL THE STORMS PASS EAST BEYOND THE

FORECAST AREA INTO THE ATLANTIC.  NO HIGH WINDS OR
DANGEROUS LIGHTNING HAVE BEEN REPORTED WITH THESE STORMS
SO FAR TODAY.  TENDER CROPS AND ORNAMENTALS MAYBE BE
VULNERABLE TO SMALL HAIL.
