THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 300 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE EAST CENTRAL PART OF COLORADO
      WESTERN EL PASO

A FUNNEL CLOUD WAS SIGHTED NORTHWEST OF THE COLORADO SPRINGS
AIRPORT AT 225 PM THIS TUESDAY AFTERNOON.  STORMS ARE MOVING
TOWARD THE SOUTHEAST AT 15 MPH.  THIS CLOUD COULD PRODUCE A
TORNADO SO ALL PERSONS IN THE NORTHEAST PART OF THE CITY SHOULD BE
ALERT AND BE PREPARED TO SEEK SHELTER.

THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR
NO ADVANCE WARNING...SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO
A PLACE OF SAFETY IF ONE IS SPOTTED.

IN HOMES GO TO THE BASEMENT OR INTO A CLOSET OR BATHROOM.  IN SCHOOLS
...HIGH RISES AND HOSPITALS GO TO AN INTERIOR HALLWAY ON THE LOWEST
FLOOR.  IF IN MOBILE HOMES OR VEHICLES...EVACUATE THEM AND GO TO A
THE NEAREST DITCH...GULLY OR OTHER LOW SPOT OR SUBSTANTIAL SHELTER.
