THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 215 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTIES
IN THE SOUTH CENTRAL PART OF NEBRASKA
WESTERN BUFFALO...EASTERN DAWSON
AT 1 10 AM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 10 MILES
NORTHEAST OF LEXINGTON NEBRASKA ;MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 25 MPH.
THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE
ADVANCE WARNING... SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT.
THIS SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORM MAY CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL STREAMS
AND UNDERPASSES. PERSONS DRIVING IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD WATCH
FOR WATER OVER ROADS... IN UNDERPASSES AND NEAR SMALL STREAMS.

THE STRONGEST STORMS WERE IN A 10 MILE LINE THAT EXTENDED FROM JUST EAST BURWELL..MASON CITY TO GOTHENBURG TO SOUTH OF NORTH PLATTE. WITH THE HEAVYIEST STORM FROM LITCHFIELD TO SUMMER..WHICH IS 20 MILES NORTHEAST OF LEXINGTON. VERY HEAVY RAIN..HAIL AND STRONG GUSTY WIND ARE POSSIBLE IN THE THUNDERSTORMS. MOVEMENT WAS SOUTHEAST AT 30 MPH. OEB
