NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORT WORTH TX
900 PM CDT SAT JUN 03 1989

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT OVER THE
NORTHERN PART OF NORTH TEXAS. THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS
GENERALLY NORTH OF A LINE FROM BOSTON IN BOWIE COUNTY TO NEAR
EASTLAND TO NEAR WICHITA FALLS.

THE DALLAS FORT WORTH METROPLEX IS INCLUDED IN THE SEVERE
THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA ALONG WITH SHERMAN...PARIS...DENTON...
MCKINNEY AND MINERAL WELLS.

AT 900 PM RADARS INDICATED A THUNDERSTORM NEAR LAKE TEXOMA NORTH OF
SHERMAN. ANOTHER THUNDERSTORM WAS NEAR BONHAM. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE
MOVING EAST AT 20 MILES AN HOUR. BOATERS ON LAKE TEXOMA SHOULD SEEK
SHELTER ON SHORE IMMEDIATELY.

IF YOU LIVE IN THE NORTHERN PART OF NORTH TEXAS YOU SHOULD BE AWARE
OF THE WEATHER THIS EVENING AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS OR
POSSIBLE WARNINGS.

IF A WARNING IS ISSUED FOR YOUR AREA...SEEK SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER
INSIDE A 0STRONG BUILDING AND STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS. HEAVY RAINS
FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO IF YOUR CAR IS CAUGHT IN RISING WATER...
ABANDON IT IMMEDIATELY AND MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
