AT 505 PM EDT RADAR SHOWED THE STRONGEST STORMS LOCATED BETWEEN ROCKMART AND CARTERSVILLE...JUST WEST OF CARROLLTON...AND NEAR DOWNTOWN ATLANTA. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL...GUSTY WINDS AND POSSIBLY SOME HAIL...ALONG WITH DEADLY LIGHTNING AS THEY DRIFTED NORTH AND NORTHEAST AND 5 TO 10 MPH. DUE TO THE AFTERNOON HEAT...ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS MAY DEVELOP IN OTHER PARTS OF NORTHWEST GEORGIA DURING THE NEXT FEW HOURS.
