THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MACON HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  915 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
 
IN CENTRAL GEORGIA
          ...BIBB...CRAWFORD...HOUSTON...JONES...PEACH
 
A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPED QUICKLY IN TAYLOR COUNTY AND MOVED TO
SOUTHWEST CRAWFORD COUNTY AT 835 PM EDT. THIS STORM HAS PRODUCED WIND
GUSTS OVER 50 MILES AN HOUR ALONG WITH SMALL HAIL. LARGE TREE LIMBS
HAVE FALLEN ACROSS POWER LINES NEAR ROBERTA IN THE LAST FEW MINUTES.
THE STORM IS MOVING EAST 15 MILES AN HOUR AND WILL BE IN FORT VALLEY
IN A FEW MINUTES AND APPROACH WARNER ROBINS IN ONE HALF HOUR..
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES
OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM
HAS PASSED.  MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE INTO LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
