NCEI Storm Data entries that began inside the alert's area while it was in force. Before 2003 the local storm report archive is thin, so this is the record of what happened rather than what was phoned in. Storm Data before 1996 records only tornadoes, thunderstorm wind and hail.

WATCH INCLUDES BEXAR COUNTY AND THE SAN ANTONIO METROPOLITAN AREA.

VERY MOIST AND UNSTABLE IN COMBINATION WITH AN UPPER DISTURBANCE

ARE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS OVER CENTRAL TEXAS
THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THE THREAT OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
COULD SPREAD EAST INTO THE EAST PORTIONS OF SOUTH TEXAS LATER THIS
AFTERNOON ALSO.

THUNDERSTORMS WERE ALREADY DEVELOPING RAPIDLY OVER THE HILL COUNTRY
BETWEEN KERRVILLE AND SAN ANGELO TEXAS...AND WEST OF DEL RIO EARLY
THIS AFTERNOON. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTH NORTHEAST AT
15 MPH. LARGE HAIL...STRONG AND DAMAGING WINDS...DANGEROUS
LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAINS CAUSING SOME FLOODING ARE POSSIBLE
WITH THE THUNDERSTORMS.

DEL RIO IN MEXICO. THIS STORM WAS MOVING TO THE EAST AT AROUND 15 MPH.
OTHER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ASSOCIATED WITH IT EXTENDED NORTH OVER
DEL RIO AND SOUTHEAST VAL VERDE COUNTY. VERY STRONG WINDS...DANGEROUS
LIGHTNING...AND HAIL CAN BE EXPECTED WITH A STORM OF THIS STRENGTH. THE
PRESENT COURSE OF THE THUNDERSTORM IF MAINTAINED WOULD MISS DEL RIO AND
SOUTHEAST VAL VERDE COUNTY. HOWEVER THE STORM NEEDS TO BE WATCHED
CLOSELY. ALL PERSONS IN DEL RIO AND SOUTHEAST VAL VERDE COUNTY ARE URGED
TO CHECK FOR LATER UPDATES ON THIS THUNDERSTORM.

BOATERS AND RECREATIONIST ON LAKE AMISTAD SHOULD TAKE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
NOW AS THE STRONG WINDS AND LIGHTNING WITH A STRONG THUNDERSTORM CAN
OCCURR A CONSIDERABLE DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE STORM.

OF VAL VERDE COUNTY ABOUT 75 MILES NORTH OF DEL RIO. MOTORISTS
TRAVELLING NORTH ON HIGHWAY 277 TOWARDS SAN ANGELO SHOULD EXPECT
