EAST CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST IOWA.  LOCATED EAST OF LINE FROM THE
NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE STATE TO THE IOWA/MISSOURI BORDER SOUTH
OTTUMWA.  THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS WERE IN A 10 MILE WIDE AREA
FROM 20 MILES SOUTHEAST OF OTTUMWA NEAR FAIRFIELD...TO 30 MILES
SOUTH OF CEDAR RAPIDS NEAR WASHINGTON.  THESE STORMS MAY PRODUCE
SMALL HAIL...STRONG GUSTY WINDS...DANGEROUS LIGHTNING...AND HEAVY
RAINS AS THEY MOVE TO THE EAST AT 25 TO 30 MILES AN HOUR.

OTHER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE IN SOUTH CENTRAL IOWA...IN A 15
MILE WIDE AREA FROM 40 MILES SOUTHEAST OF DES MOINES JUST EAST OF
CHARITON...TO THE IOWA/MISSOURI BORDER NEAR LAMONI.  THESE SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR.

NUMBER 537 FOR NORTHEAST IOWA...EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.

THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES ARE NO LONGER IN THE WATCH AREA:

     CLAYTON...DELAWARE...DUBUQUE...JONES...AND JACKSON.

THE POTENTIAL SEVERE STORMS NO LONGER AFFECT THESE COUNTIES.

HOWEVER...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH NUMBER 537 STILL IS IN EFFECT FOR
THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST IOWA:

OF DUBUQUE...TO THE IOWA/MISSOURI BORDER SOUTH OF KEOSAUQUA.  THE
STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS WERE IN A 10 MILE WIDE AREA FROM 15 MILES
NORTHWEST OF BURLINGTON TO DAVENPORT/MOLINE.  THESE STORMS MAY
PRODUCE SMALL HAIL...STRONG GUSTY WINDS...DANGEROUS LIGHTNING...AND

A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WAS LOCATED OVER SOUTHEAST INTO SOUTH
CENTRAL IOWA.  THE LINE WAS ABOUT 20 MILES WIDE...AND EXTENDED FROM
ABOUT 25 MILES SOUTHWEST OF CEDAR RAPIDS...SOUTHWEST TO JUST EAST
OF LAMONI.  LAMONI IS ABOUT 60 MILES SOUTH OF DES MOINES.

THE MOST INTENSE STORMS WERE LOCATED 15 MILES NORTHEAST OF OTTUMWA...AND
ABOUT MIDWAY BETWEEN OTTUMWA AND LAMONI.  THESE STORMS ARE CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING WINDS OF OVER 50 MILES AN HOUR AND LARGE HAIL.

THE STORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT 35 MILES AN HOUR.  THEY WILL REACH
BLOOMFIELD...FAIRFIELD...KEOSAUQUA...AND MT. PLEASANT BETWEEN 400 AND
430 PM THIS AFTERNOON.

ELSEWHERE...A FEW THUNDERSTORMS WERE DEVELOPING JUST TO THE EAST AND
SOUTHEAST OF DES MOINES.  A FE.W SHOWERS WERE ALSO LOCATED OVER NORTH-
WEST IOWA...EAST OF SIOUX CITY.
