...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS MOVING INTO CRAWFORD COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL
   IOWA...

AT 815 PM...SEVERAL STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING THROUGH CRAWFORD
COUNTY.  ONE STORM WAS OVER SOUTHEAST CRAWFORD COUNTY...WHILE ANOTHER
CLUSTER OF STORMS WAS OVER NORTHWEST SHELBY AND EASTERN HARRISON
COUNTIES.  THESE AREAS ARE SOME 40 TO 60 MILES NORTHEAST OF COUNCIL
BLUFFS.

SO FAR...THESE STORMS HAVE PRODUCED LOTS OF PEA TO MARBLE SIZED
HAIL...AND WINDS OF 30 TO 40 MILES AN HOUR.

ALTHOUGH NO SEVERE WEATHER IS INDICATED AT THIS TIME...PEOPLE IN
CRAWFORD COUNTY SHOULD REMAIN ALERT.  REMEMBER...A TORNADO- WATCH IS
IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM.

THURSDAY EVENING AND EARLY FRIDAY MORNING...

NO SEVERE WEATHER WAS REPORTED IN IOWA BETWEEN 830PM AND 930 PM.

AT 932 PM CDT...NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND STRONG THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED
OVER ABOUT THE WEST ONE HALF OF IOWA.

THE LEADING...OR EAST EDGE OF THE PRECIPITATION IN IOWA...EXTENDED
FROM THE IOWA/MISSOURI BORDER 25 MILES WEST OF LAMONI...OR 75 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF DES MOINES....TO 10 MILES WEST OF DES MOINES...TO THE
IOWA/MINNESOTA BORDER NEAR ESTHERVILLE...OR 100 MILES NORTHEAST OF
SIOUX CITY.

THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MILES AN
HOUR...WHILE THE ENTIRE AREA OF RAINFALL WAS SHIFTING SOUTHEAST AT
15 MILES AN HOUR.

THE LARGE AMOUNTS OF RAINFALL FROM SOME OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS COULD
CAUSE SOME STREET AN3D LOW LYING AREA FLOODING.
