THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 300 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTY

IN THE CENTRAL PART OF IOWA
NORTHERN DALLAS

AT 210 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN NORTHWEST
DALLAS COUNTY...JUST SOUTH OF PERRY.  THIS IS ABOUT 35 MILES
WEST NORTHWEST OF DES MOINES.

THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST AROUND 20 TO 25 MILES AN HOUR.

PERSONS IN THE TOWNS OF PERRY...AND WOODWARD AS WELL AS THOSE IN
RURAL AREAS JUST TO THE SOUTH SHOULD BE ON THE ALERT FOR
POSSIBLE SEVERE WEATHER.

REMEMBER...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MILES
AN HOUR...LARGE HAIL...DANGEROUS LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAINS.
FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR
OF YOU HOME OR BUSINESS.  HEAVY RAINS FLJOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO DO NOT
DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
