SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT AND RADAR SUMMARY NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HARRISBURG PA. 400 PM EDT SUN JUN 25 1989 ...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IN EFFECT FOR ALL THE LOWER SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY UNTIL 10 PM THIS EVENING.... AT 355 PM EDT THE HARRISBURG WEATHER RADAR WAS OBSERVING HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS SCATTERED ACROSS PORTIONS OF COLUMBIA AND NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTIES WITH THE HEAVIEST STORMS IN THE BERWICK..BLOOMSBURG AREA. ABOTHER CLUSTER OF HEAVY STORMS WAS ALSO IN EVIDENCE FROM NEAR SCHUYKILL HAVN TO AROUND READING. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE SOUTH AT 20 TO 25 MILES AN HOUR. GUSTY WINDS...HAIL AND HEAVY RAINS WILL ACCOMPANY THE PASSAGE OF THESE STORMS. ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS WERE P-OPPING UP IN RADAM FASHION ACROSS MUCH OF SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY AND CENTRAL MOUNTAINS OF PENNSYLVANIA.
