AT 520 PM EST INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED 5 MILES EITHER SIDE OF A LINE FROM CLEVELAND... TO LANCASTER IN CENTRAL OHIO TO JUST WEST OF WAVERLY IN SOUTH CENTRAL OHIO. A LESS INTENSE BAND OF STORMS DEVELOPED FROM JUST NORTH OF CINCINNATI TO JUST WEST OF COLUMBUS TO LORAIN COUNTY WEST OF CLEVELAND. WINDS IN EXCESS OF 58 MPH... SMALL TO MEDIUM SIZE HAIL... SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT CORRECT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE YOUNGSTOWN OH 610 PM EST WED NOV 15 1989 AT 605 PM EST RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS FROM GENEVA TO AKRON CANTON AIRPORT. THIS LINE IS MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH...AND WILL MOVE INTO THE YOUNGSTOWN WARREN AREA ABOUT 7PM. AT 550 PM EST A THUNDERSTORM PASSED THRU THE AKRON CANTON AIRPORT IN NORTH CANTON OHIO. WIND GUST OF 55 MPH WAS REPORTED WITH THE PASSAGE OF THIS FRONT. SEVERALQ REPORTS OF SMALL HAIL WERE ALSO REPORTED NEAR CANAL FULTON OHIO. A TORNADO WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST OHIO UNTIL 9PM. MILLER

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CLEVELAND OH 645 PM EST WED NOV 15 1989 ...A TORNADO WATCH FOR PARTS OF CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN OHIO REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM THIS EVENING... AT 630 PM INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS WITH STRONG WINDS AND HEAVY RAIN WERE MOVNING AT 45 MILES AN HOUR ACROSS THE BUCKEYE STATE. THE MOST INTENSE STORMS EXTENDED FROM JEFFERSON IN THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE STATE TO NEAR YUNGSTOWN. ANOTHER SET OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WAS LOCATED FROM GRANVILLE TO LANCASTER IN CENTRAL OHIO. OTHER OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED IN A 100 MILE WIDE BAND FROM 20 MILES EAST OF CLEVELAND TO WEST UNION IN SOUTH CENTRAL OHIO. DURING THE PAST HOUR HEAVY RAINS HAVE PROMPTED URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD WARNINGS IN NORTHERN AND CENTRAL OHIO. WINDS IN EXCESS OF 50 MILES AN HOUR WERE REPORTED AS THE THUNDERSTORMS MOVED ACROSS THE CANTON-AKRON AIRPORT. BE CAREFUL OF RAPIDLY RISING WATER IN FLASH FLmOOD PRONE AREAS.
