THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 230 AM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE NORTHWEST PART OF PENNSYLVANIA
      ELK

STEADY RAIN THAT FELL DURING THE AFTERNOON HAS PRODUCED FLOODING
ALONG THE CLARION RIVER IN ELK COUNTY.  ONE AND ONE-HALF FEET OF
WATER HAS BEEN REPORTED ON ROUNTE 321 NEAR WILCOX...AND FLOOING
HAS ALSO BEEN OBESERVED ON ROUTE 219 IN JOHNSONBURG AND ROUTE 120
OUTSIDE OF SAINT MARYS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.
VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED IMMEDIATELY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOOD WATERS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...
ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
