THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 800 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
NEW YORK COUNTIES...

CHAUTAUQUA AND NEARBY COASTAL WATERS

AT 630 PM A HEAVY THUNDERSTORM WITH HAIL...WINDS IN THE 40S OF MILES
AND HOUR AND VERY HEAVY DOWPOURS WENT OVER ERIE PENNSYLVANIA.
THE THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING EAST AND SHOULD MOVE INTO CHAUTAUQUA
COUNTY.  LOCALIZED FLOODING PROBLEMS ARE A POSSIBILITY.
THE THUNDERSTORM IS PART OF A LARGER AREA OF RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS.

BE ON THE ALERT FOR THUNDERSTORMS ACCOMPANIED BY FREQUENT LIGHTNING
STRONG DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL.  LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN MAY ALSO
CAUSE DRAINAGE FLOODING.
