THE ATMOSPHERE OVER THE STATE HAS BECOME VERY UNSTABLE AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING COLD FRONT AND SQUALL LINE COMBINATION NOW EXTENDING ACROSS SOUTHERN VERMONT AND EAST-CENTRAL NEW YORK. RADAR HAS INDICATED SEVERAL SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITHIN THIS AREA WHICH IS MOVING SOUTHEAST AROUND 25 MILES AN HOUR. THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE MOVING INTO BERKSHIRE COUNTY WITHIN THE HOUR...THEN ACROSS THE REST OF THE STATE DURING THE REST OF THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. RESIDENTS SHOULD KEEP A CLOSE EYE ON THIS SITTUATION AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION IN CASE SEVERE WEATHER WEATHER IS OBSERVED OR A WARNING IS ISSUED.
