NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ALBANY NY
650 AM EDT MON JUL 10 1989

THUNDERSTORMS WERE RUMBLING THROUGH THE CENTRAL ADIRONDACKS.

AT 645 AM A THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN...INTENSE LIGHTNING AND
MAYBE HAIL WAS IN WESTERN HAMILTON COUNTY ALONG ROUTE 28 NEAR INLET.
THE STORM WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 40 MPH AND WILL BE OVER INDIAN LAKE
AT 715 AM.

ANOTHER STORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN...AND POSSIBLY HAIL WILL AFFECT
NORTHERN HERKIMER COUNTY BETWEEN 650 AND 715 AM.

THESE STORM WAS PART OF A LARGE AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
OVER NEW YORK...NORTH OF THE MOHAWK VALLEY.  HEAVY RAIN WAS WIDESPREAD
OVER NORTHERN WARREN...ESSEX AND EXTREME NORTHERN WASHINGTON COUNTIES.#
THERE WAS OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING THERE.

THUNDERSTORMS WILL REMAIN ACTIVE THROUGH MID MORNING OVER NORTHERN
NEW YORK.
