...REFER TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 190 IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM...

OTHERWISE...THERE IS A MODERATE RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FOR MUCH
OF SOUTHERN AND EASTERN OKLAHOMA...TO THE SOUTHEAST OF A LINE FROM
ALTUS TO CLINTON TO STILLWATER TO GROVE. THIS MODERATE RISK AREA
INCLUDES THE OKLAHOMA CITY AND TULSA METROPOLITAN AREAS. THERE IS A
SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS OVER PORTIONS OF NORTHERN OKLAHOMA
...TO THE EAST OF A CLINTON TO ALVA LINE...AND TO THE NORTH OF THE
CLINTON TO STILLWATER TO GROVE LINE.

EARLY THIS AFTERNOON...AN UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM IS CENTERED NEAR
CONCORDIA KANSAS. AT THE SURFACE...A LOW PRESSURE AREA IS LOCATED IN
NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS WITH A WEAK COLD FRONT EXTENDING SOUTHWARD FROM THE
LOW NEAR A WICHITA KS...OKLAHOMA CITY...WICHITA FALLS TX LINE.

THE ATMOSPHERE OVER OKLAHOMA IS VERY UNSTABLE THIS AFTERNOON. LOW LEVEL
MOISTURE IS PLENTIFUL...AND DAYTIME HEATING IS HELPING TO CONTINUE
DESTABLIZING THE ATMOSPHERE. THE UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM OVER KANSAS
HAS CHANGED ITS DIRECTION OF MOVEMENT AND IS NOW MOVING SOUTHWARD
TOWARD OKLAHOMA. THUNDERSTORMS WILL INCREASE IN INTENSITY AND
COVERAGE DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS. THE MOST UNSTABLE AIR CAN BE FOUND
IN THE MODERATE RISK AREA...ALLOWING THE DEVELOPMENT OF SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

THE MAIN SEVERE WEATHER THREAT THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT WILL BE HAIL.
THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE RATHER SLOWLY...AND SOME LOCATIONS MAY ALSO
RECEIVE HEAVY RAINFALL.

CIVIL DEFENSE AND SPOTTER NETWORKS IN THE SEVERE WEATHER RISK AREAS
SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR QUICK ACTIVATION THIS IAFTERNOON AND EVENING.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR PERSONS IN JACK
AND YOUNG COUNTIES YNTIL 130 PM CDT...

AN ISOLATED BUT MASSIVE THUNDERSTORM WAS IN PROGRESS BETWEEN GRAHAM
AND JACKSBORO TEXAS. IT WAS MOVING/BUILDING EAST AT 10 MPH.

COPIOUS QUANITIES OF PEA SIZE HAIL WAS REPORTED IN THE GRAMAH AREA
AROUND 1PM CDT. THIS WAS ACCOMPANIED BY VERY HEAVY RAIN AND FREQUENT
LIGHTNING.

THE STRONGEST PORTION OF THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS NOW IN WESTERN JACK
COUNTY MOVING TOWARD JACKSBORO.

BE ALERT TO FUTURE RANDOM THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT LATTER THIS
AFTERNOON ACROSS THIS SECTION OF NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS.
