FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  830 AM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...
 
IN SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO
          ...SOUTHERN EDDY
 
OVER TWO AND ONE HALF INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN IN THE CARLSBAD AREA
SINCE MIDNIGHT MDT. THE CLUSTER OF THUNDERSTORMS RESPONSIBLE FOR THESE
HEAVY RAINS CONTINUES TO INTENSIFY AS IT DRIFTS SLOWLY SOUTHWEST
TOWARDS CARLSBAD CAVERNS AND WHITES CITY. AS A RESULT...MORE HEAVY
RAINS AND FLASH FLOODING ARE EXPECTED FROM CARLSBAD CAVERNS NORTHEAST-
WARD INTO THE CARSLBAD AREA IN THE NEXT FEW HOURS.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
