AT 605 PM THE WAUPACA COUNTY SHERIFF DEPARTMENT REPORTED A TORNADO
IN THE FREMONT AREA..25 MILES NORTHWEST OF OSHKOSH. THIS STORM IS
MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH
THE TORNADO IS HEADING FOR NEW LONDON AND SHIOCTON.

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GREEN BAY WI 545 PM CDT MON SEP 19 1988 ...COLD FRONT WITH VERY STRONG WINDS HEADING FOR NORTHEAST WISCONSIN... AT 540 PM CDT A COLD FRONT WITH VERY STRONG WINDS IS JUST ENTERING WAUPACA AND WINNEBAGO COUNTIES. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE ALSO ASSOCIATED WITH THIS INTENSE COLD FRONT. IN ADDITION WIND GUSTS UP TO 60 MPH HAVE BEEN OBSERVED WITH THIS FRONT CAUSING DAMAGE IN SOME AREAS OF SOUTH CEKNTRAL WISCONSIN. PERSONS IN WAUPACA AND WINNEBAGO COUNTIES SHOULD BE AWARE OF THE VERY STRONG WINDS FROM 540 PM TO 615 PM. PERSONS IN ALL OF NORTHEAST WISCONSIN CAN EXPECT THIS COLD FRONT SOMETIME AFTER 615 PM CDT.
