...THUNDERSTORMS STARTING TO DEVELOP IN CENTRAL GEORGIA....

AT 140 MACON RADAR SHOWED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM HAD DEVELOPED
SOUTH OF MACON BETWEEN FORT VALLEY AND PERRY. MOVEMENT WAS
SOUTHEAST AT 10 MPH.

STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON IN
CENTRAL GEORGIA. STRONG GUST WINDS...FREQUENT DANGEROUS LIGHTNING
STRIKES...AS WELL AS HEAVY RAIN...AND POSSIBLE HAIL CAN BE
EXPECTED WITH SOME OF THE STRONGER STORMS.

IF THREATENING THUNDERSTORMS APPROACH YOUR AREA BE ALERT AND
MOVE INDOORS TO A SAFE BUILDING. IF ANY DAMAGE OCCURS REPORT IT

 ...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE DEVELOPING ACROSS NORTHERN GEORGIA...

AT 230 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN ATLANTA WAS SHOWING
AN ISOLATED STRONG THUNDERSTORM OVER HARALSON COUNTY IN NORTHWESTERN
GEORGIA.  THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED BETWEEN BREMAN AND DALLAS
AND WAS MOVING TO THE SOUTH AT 10 MPH.

OTHER STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED IN EAST CENTRAL ALABAMA JUST
ACROSS THE CHATTAHOOCHEE RIVER.  THESE STORMS WERE JUST WEST OF TROUP
COUNTY.

PEOPLE IN THESE AREAS CAN EXPECT BRIEF HEAVY RAIN...STRONG GUSTY WINDS
AND DANGEROUS LIGHTING AS THESE STORMS MOVE THROUGH THE AREA.

ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOPE ACROSS OTHER SECTIONS
OF NORTHWEST GEORGIA DURING AFTERNOON AS TEMPERATURES APPROACH THE 100
DEGREE MARK IN MANY LOCATIONS.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS STRETCHING FROM NEAR ROSWELL IN NORTH FULTON
COUNTY SOUTH ALONG THE CHATTAHOOCHEE RIVER...INTO CARROLL AND COWETA
COUNTIES.

THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE MOVING INTO THE ATLANTA METROPOLITAN DURING
THE NEXT HOUR.

THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE BRIEF HEAVY RAIN...STRONG GUSTY WINDS
