PERSONS IN THESE COUNTIES CAN EXPECT STRONG GUSTY WINDS..VERY HEAVY RAINFALL..AND POSSIBLE SMALL HAIL DURING THE NEXT HOUR. LOCAL FLOODING IS ALSO LIKELY AS THESE THUNDERSTORMS SHOW LITTLE MOVEMENT.

AT 320 PM MACON RADAR SHOWED SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS MOSTLY NORTH OF A LINE FROM COLUMBUS TO MACON TO NEAR SAVANNAH. THE STRONGEST THUNDER- STORMS IN CENTRAL GEORGIA WERE IN NORTHERN JASPER COUNTY NORTHWEST OF MONTICELLO. MOVEMENT WAS WEST AT 10 MPH. SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP IN CENTRAL GEORGIA THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING. SOME OF THE STRONGER THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE STRONG GUSTY WINDS...DANGEROUS LIGHTNING... AND SMALL HAIL IS POSSIBLE. WIDELY SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DEVELOPED IN THE AFTERNOON HEAT ACROSS NORTHWEST GEORGIA. AT 4 PM THEY WERE OCCURRING IN RANDOM FASHION DROPPING HEAVY RAIN IN ONLY A FEW AREAS. SOME OF THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE BECOMING QUITE STRONG. AS THE AFTERNOON WEARS ON MORE STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE. WITH THE STRONGER STORMS PEOPLE IN NORTHWEST GEORGIA CAN EXPECT STRONG GUSTY WINDS...FREQUENT LIGHTNING STRIKES...AND BRIEF HEAVY RAIN. SMALL HAIL IS ALSO A POSSIBILITY.
