SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN TX 505 PM CDT FRI APR 29 1988 ...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR TRAVIS WILLIAMSON BASTROP CALDWELL AND COUNTIES WESTWARD OVER THE HILL COUNTRY UNTIL 1100 PM. WEATHER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WERE CONTINUE TO DEVELOPE FROM NORTHEAST OF SAN ANGELO SOUTHWARD THROUGH THE JUNCTION AREA TO EAST AND SOUTHEAST OF THE DEL RIO AREA. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT NEAR 25/ MPH. EVERYONE IN AND NEAR THE WATCH AREA IS URGED TO MONITOR THE WEATHER AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS AND OR WARNINGS.

WEATHER RADAR INDICATED INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS MOVING INTO NORTHWEST GILLESPIE COUNTY. OTHER THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED WEST OF LAMAPSAS ...NORTH OF SAN SABA AND WEST OF KERRVILLE. THESE STHUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT |NEAR 25 MPH. EVERYONE IN AND NEAR THE WATCH AREA IS URGED TO MONITOR THE WEATHER AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS AND OR WARNINGS.

ALSO THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE SOUTH OF SAN ANTONIO IN THE AREA NEAR PLEASANTON ...STOCKDALE AND KARNES CITY AND ALONG THE COASTAL AREAS. THE THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE HILL COUNTRY WERE MOVING EAST AT NEAR 35 MPH. EVERYONE IN AND NEAR THE WATCH AREA IS URGED TO MONITOR THE WEATHER AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS AND OR WARNINGS. G
