THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  115 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
 
IN SOUTH TEXAS
          ...BANDERA...EDWARDS...KERR...REAL
 
A LARGE AREA OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS REMAINS ACROSS KERR..BANDERA..AND
REAL COUNTIES LATE THIS MORNING. RAINFALL REPORTS DURING THE MORNING
HAVE AVERAGED AROUND FOUR INCHES ACROSS THE WARNING AREA...RANGING
FROM THREE TO OVER SIX INCHES OF RAIN IN SOME SPOTS. RISES ALONG THE
NORTH FORK OF THE GUADALUPE RIVER IN KERR COUNTY HAVE ALSO BEEN
REPORTED AS WELL AS ALONG CREEKS AND STREAMS. SEVERAL ROADS WERE
REPORTED CLOSED IN EDWARDS COUNTY AND KERR COUNTY BECAUSE OF FLOODING.
 
PERSONS AND CAMPERS ALONG RIVERS AND CREEKS AND IN LOW LYING AREAS
SHOULD SEEK HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN
REPORTED.
 
REMEMBER...DEATHS DURING FLASH FLOODING ARE FREQUENTLY RELATED TO
MOTORISTS DRIVING INTO FLOODED LOW WATER CROSSINGS OR FROM CHILDREN
PLAYING NEAR FLOODED STREAMS OR DRAINAGE AREAS.
