000 TTAA00 KBUF 052142 SVRBUF NYC009-052330- BULLETIN IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BUFFALO NY 540 PM EDT FRI AUG 5 1988 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 730PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES IN WESTERN NEW YORK...CATTARAUGUS AT 540 PM EDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM JUST NORTHWEST OF BRADFORD PENNSYLVANIA. THE STORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH. BE ON THE ALERT FOR THUNDERSTORMS ACCOMPANIED BY FREQUENT LIGHTNING.. STRONG DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL.
