SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TUCSON AZ 130 PM MST WED JUL 29 1987 AT 120 PM MST...TUCSON WEATHER RADAR INDICATED SOME THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINSHOWERS. THE STRONGEST OF THESE STORMS WERE NEAR THE TOWNS OF ELFRIDA AND MC NEAL. OTHER THUNDERSTORMS AND RAINSHOWERS WERE IN A LINE FROM POMERENE AND DRAGOON...SOUTH TO MIRACLE VALLEY AND INTO OLD MEXICO. THESE STORMS ARE MOVING VERY SLOWLY TO THE NORTH...WITH SOME AREAS OF HEAVY RAIN...SO FLOODING OF DIPS...WASHES...AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS IS VERY POSSIBLE. PERSONS TRAVELING IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ALERT TO THIS POSSIBILITY AND TAKE APPROPRIATE PRECAUTIONS. THESE STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE DEVELOPING THROUGHOUoT THE AFTERNOON.
