THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND 
SPECIAL MARINE WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 830 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE 
FOLLOWING COUNTY OF

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA...WESTERN EASTERN SOUTHERN LEE
...THIS WARNING ALSO INCLUDES THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS FOR THE
COUNTY JUST MENTIONED

 A SEVERETHUNDERSTORM IS BEING DEPICTED BY NATIONAL WEATHER
 SERVICE RADAR ABOUT 5 MILES EAST OF THE CITY OF FT. MYERS IN
 LEE COUNTY. THE STORM IS MOVING TOWARDS THE WEST SLOWLY AND
 WILL LIKELY SPREAD OVER THE CITY AND THE RIVER AND THE ADJACENT
  COASTAL WATERS WITHIN THE HOUR. ALL MARINE INTERESTS SHOULD BE
 ALERT FOR THIS STORM.

WATERSPOUTS THAT MOVE ONSHORE CAN DO CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE. SHORELINE
RESIDENTS SHOULD BE ON THE ALERT FOR THIS DANGER WHENEVER WATERSPOUTS
ARE SIGHTED.

REMEMBER... THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO
WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCED WARNING.

 PERIODS OF VERY HEAVY RAIN ALONG WITH FREQUENT LIGHTNING CAN BE
 EXPECTED. TEMPORARY FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS IS 'LIKELY.
